ACTS OF REPARATION (7PM)By: Selina Lewis Davidson & Macky Alston
Acts of Reparation is a film created as a conversation between two old friends. Selina, who is Black, and Macky, who is white, have been friends and filmmaking partners for 25 years. Genealogy nerds, they travel south to reclaim and reckon with their roots. With different histories – the enslaver and the enslaved, the colonizer and the colonized – Macky and Selina are determined to figure out together what is possible to transform relationships, communities and this country.
