PeaceWorks invites you to a special screening of the documentary film Borderland│the Line Within. The film’s award-winning filmmakers, Paco de Onis and Pamela Yates will join us in person to answer your questions.

For over a year our work at Delaney Hall with the “Eyes on ICE” coalition has supported families in crisis after loved ones were snatched off our streets, thrown into for-profit prisons, held for long periods of time in deplorable conditions and deported, possibly to third-party countries to which they have no connection. Borderland│the Line Within explores the industrial immigration machine that profits from tearing up families, communities and an American exceptionalism rooted in hard-working immigrants who forever keep us young, vibrant and strong. While under attack, this film explores how this exceptionalism is far from dead.

Lunch will be served at 1pm, screening to follow.

$15 Suggested donation. Please also consider bringing  a donation for families in crisis at Delaney Hall. $25-$100 gift cards go a long way in reducing the economic stress caused by our government’s cruel immigration policies.
