Rosa Cohen-Cruz is the Director of Immigration Policy at The Bronx Defenders.  She works to end ICE detention in New York and beyond, and to disentangle the criminal and immigration systems. Rosa has practiced immigration law at the intersection of the criminal legal system for over a decade. Prior to joining the Bronx Defenders, Rosa worked for Prisoners’ Legal Services of New York, where she initiated and managed the first universal representation program for immigrants facing deportation while serving sentences in New York State prisons.
